Series 7 (25 Feb 73 - 20 May 73)


Episode 1 – Aired: 2/2/1973
Olive's Divorce
Stan takes Olive to the divorce courts as Arthur has now been gone for six months.

Episode 2 – Aired: 3/4/1973
The Perfect Clippie
A financial crisis forces Olive to go to work, so Stan grovels to Blakey to get her fixed up as a clippie, which turns out to be an unpopular move with the rest of the depot staff

Episode 3 – Aired: 3/11/1973
The Ticket Machine
Stan spends a week's wages on a girlfriend in one night, only to discover that Olive and Mum have spent 50 pounds themselves, so Jack comes up with a plan for him and Stan to make some extra money.

Episode 4 – Aired: 3/18/1973
The Poster
The company mounts an advertising campaign to attract more passengers, so Jack enters Stan as a possible candidate for a new promotional poster.

Episode 5 – Aired: 3/25/1973
The Football Match
The depot's football team look forward to a five pound bonus if they win their match against the Basildon Bashers.

Episode 6 – Aired: 4/1/1973
On The Omnibuses
As the company celebrates its centenary, an overworked Stan falls asleep and is transported to the depot of the past.

Season 7, Episode 7 – Aired: 4/8/1973
Goodbye Stan
Stan gets a job up north, so he decides to get himself sacked in order to earn an extra week's wages.

Episode 8 – Aired: 4/15/1973
Hot Water
When Blakey accidentally breaks the Butler's immersion heater, he and Jack attempt to replace it with a new one.

Episode 9 – Aired: 4/22/1973
The Visit
Blakey invites his mum over to the Butler home now that he is living there, but she isn't very happy about the situation.

Episode 10 – Aired: 4/29/1973
What The Stars Foretell
The Stars make good reading for Mum and Olive. It says romance is in the air, but who will be the unlucky victims? With Bob Grant, Anna Karen, Stephen Lewis, Doris Hare,

Episode 11 – Aired: 5/6/1973
The Allowance
There's a new clippie at the depot, the militant Jessie. Outraged that the female clippies have to pay to use the public conveniences, while the male staff don't, she lobbies the management for an allowance to cover the cost. Starring Grant, Anna Karen, Stephen Lewis, Doris Hare,
Yootha Joyce, Claire Davenport, Sandra Bryant and John Lyons


Episode 12 – Aired: 5/13/1973
Friends In High Places
When Mrs Butler goes for a job at the depot's canteen, she is interviewed by an old boyfriend Mr Simpson, who is one of the area managers. After she gets the job, Jack and Olive try to use Mum's influence with Mr Simpson to try and get one over on Blakey.
